Money Market Accounts

(Interest bearing checking accounts)
A money market account is a type of savings account offered by The Iron County Community Credit Union that is similar to a regular savings account. The difference is that money markets pay higher interest, have higher minimum balance requirements and only allow six withdrawals per month. The minimum amount you may withdraw is $500.00 per withdrawal. Another difference is that, similar to a checking account, our money market accounts will allow you write up to three checks each month.

A minimum daily balance of $2,500.00 is required to avoid a maintenance fee of $10.00. If, during any month, your account balance falls below the required minimum daily balance, the fee will be charged to your account.

Share Certificates

Our Share Certificates have a $500.00 minimum for terms from 6 months to 3 years. Interest is paid quarterly and can be left in the Certificate, transferred to a different savings account or sent as a check in the mail. There is a penalty for early withdrawal.
